Our team of allied health professionals are now registered with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). This allows us to provide service to people who have an approved NDIS funding plan. There are no gaps for clients with NDIS funding as we will invoice NDIS directly.  Our team can provide services at our clinic or at home.

What is NDIS?

The NDIS is the National Disability Insurance Scheme, a type of funding that improves mental and physical outcomes for eligible participants.

Who can access NDIS?

To access the NDIS you must be under 65 years of age and have a permanent and  significant disability that affects your day to day life.

How can I find out if I’m eligible for NDIS?

To determine your eligibility for NDIS, you can refer to the NDIS website eligibility checker.

Where are NDIS sessions held?

At NDPE our NDIS physiotherapy sessions are held either at our clinic or your home, depending on your individual needs.

What happens in a NDIS session?

During your initial visit, we’ll work with you to assess your condition and create a treatment plan. We’ll ask about your history, limitations, medications, and short-term and long-term goals.

 

Following your initial session, your physiotherapist will follow your treatment plan which will vary from person to person.

What types of physiotherapy will I do?

The type or types of physiotherapy you engage in will depend on your disability and personal circumstances. Physiotherapies can include:

  • Strength exercises
  • Balance and coordination exercises
  • Joint mobilisation
  • Hands-on therapy such as soft tissue massage and manual therapy
  • Respiratory conditioning
